The Crafting System
Crafting in Hytale is recipe-based. Unlike some games where you arrange items in a grid, Hytale uses a menu system where you select the item you want to make from a list.
🛠️ Pocket Crafting
Press TAB to access basic crafting. Can be done anywhere. Limited to torches, basic tools, and campfires.
📜 Recipe Discovery
You unlock new recipes by picking up new materials. Finding copper ore unlocks copper recipes.

The Blueprint System
For finding rare items, Hytale uses Blueprints.
Blueprints are special scrolls found in dungeons or given by NPCs. Using a blueprint permanently unlocks a unique recipe for your character, such as:
- Magic Staffs (Fire, Ice, Void)
- Technological Gadgets (Jetpacks, Propellers)
- Legendary Armors
Tip: Always check boss chests for blueprints!
